SZ and I headed for the Sentosa Boardwalk on 19 May 2011!

Well, there was disappointment at the end of the walk because there were very few flowers, not to mention little variety. It was the exact opposite of what we read from a blog. I guess they were not in season or the heat probably made them into potpourri.

The nicest flowers were on top the rubbish bins so we took photos with them! Such a nice shade of purple and pink! And OUR new favourite photo of us has emerged~!

Spot the bird!

Another thing that made me really happy was that SZ remembers the Ch 5 show, The Ride Home! And I didn’t even bring it up or anything… OMG!

We didn’t manage to eat at the restaurant we wanted at the Boardwalk because it was booked for a private event so we headed back to the shopping centres where air-conditioning awaits!

Seoul Garden Hotpot!

Settled for dinner at Seoul Garden Hotpot after drawing lots. SZ had the Seafood Hotpot while I had the Garlic Chicken Bibimbap. Their portions were really large and there were still sides and dessert. We were both EXTREMELY full after our dinner.

This is what we call “Smell the roses, before it’s too late (:‏”

We celebrated JJ’s 23rd on 1 May 2011 at Strictly Pancakes!

Really savoury pancakes with delicious butter (choice of salted, unsalted, garlic & herb or rum & raisin). WY and I had the Chicken a la King which was really filling cos there were THREE pancakes. I’m not really a pancake person but I wouldn’t mind eating them if I could have that cream sauce they used. Yummy!

Then we headed to PlayNation! First time with the Wii and Kinect games and we had loads of fun!

Our limbs were visibly tired after the Wii games – lots of swinging and bashing so we switched to Kinect… which was a full body workout. LOL!

The sport games were fun – I only remembered I was good at boxing! The dancing ones were challenging because I cannot coordinate my limbs! I probably cannot dance to save my life. JJ and HY were very enthusiastic with their dancing though. They totally dominated the hip-hop and para-para moves!

Date: 7 May 2011
Venue: Marina Barrage

This is Nike’s first girls race and I’m so glad to be part of it! Thanks to SZ!

OMG UTT WAS THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, Utt and Holly from MTV were the hosts and I didn’t know that until the actual day. Well, you know, that’s extra motivation to run the 5km!

(Especially since it’s been sooo long!)

It was a sea of amber since every girl was in the race tee and every girl is so competitive – there is no room for walking! Every time I swing my arms, there’s an 80 percent chance that I will touch a sweaty arm/thigh/(whatever you want).

And the top runners are absolutely crazy… fit! They finished the 5km under 22 minutes? That’s super fast!

Most importantly, I think I did good. There’s nothing better than feeling good inside!

Last but not least, nothing beats the view from Marina Barrage! I was completely captivated by the beautiful colours of the sky. Thanks to SZ for the photos and the camera!

Yup, we celebrated New Year’s eve with lots of sizzle! The grilling really put a lot of excitement into our dinner. LOL. I guess steamboat is a good way of finding out what your friends really, really like to eat. Whether it’s the scallops, crabsticks or bacon. 🙂

The place was really crowded so we rounded up after two hours of stuffing our faces. Then had dessert and headed to Suting’s place for games. Four Kings and Monopoly Deal!

This year, we celebrated Christmas at Serene’s!

Dinner was prepared by us and I think the deep frying of the food was really hilarious. 1) All of us had various methods of deep/stir/pan frying. 2) Everyone was kinda afraid of the hot oil.

But all in all, the food did fill our stomachs. There’s apple-baked and honey-baked ham, sambal fishballs (from JJ’s mom), clam chowder and chicken wings! Plus, everyone was thoroughly entertained by Jayden!

SKY met up during the last week of November to celebrate our birthdays! We had Korean food at Far East Plaza and YC actually brought a chocolate-marshmallow cake that she baked especially for us! Plus, SZ and I each got a personalized giant cookie! Yippee!

I tried Mad For Garlic, like finally. The only thing that didn’t fit my imagination was the fondue, which I imagined to be quite high and overflowing. Nonetheless, it was really nice! They even kept the warm candlelight of the fondue throughout our dinner – for ambience? Plus, I enjoyed my risotto!

P.S. The garlic props are made of styrofoam!

Anchovy Garlic Cream Fondue; Mushroom Risotto; Vongole Mare Pasta

Then we went around snapping pictures of ourselves in the shiny Christmas ornaments and other larger Christmas decorations.

Merry, Merry Christmas!
